Kid Friendly Easter Activities in Ottawa 2016

With Easter just a week away, here are some awesome kid friendly Easter activities happening in the Ottawa area!

EASTER ACTIVITIES AT THE LIBRARY

We’re Going on an Egg Hunt at the Blackburn Hamlet branch on Thursday March 24th from 11 to 11:45am with stories, rhymes, songs and an egg hunt.

Celebrate Easter as a family on Saturday March 19th from 2 to 2:45pm at the Elmvale Acres branch with stories, activities and crafts. Activities are geared towards children from age 5 to 10.

EASTER AT THE MUSEUM

Come celebrate Easter at the Farm from March 25th to 28th were the barns have come alive with the arrival of newborn animals such as lambs, rabbits, chicks and ducklings. Also, children 6 & under can participate in the annual egg hunt and older children can take on the challenge of hunting for the “signs of spring” throughout the barns.

Celebrate the arrival of Spring at Curious Cottontail’s Easter Saturday, March 26 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum. Come enjoy maple taffy on the snow, listen to the tale of Peter Rabbit as told by a storyteller, snap a photo with Curious Cottontail or make an Easter egg craft.

Come celebrate Easter at the Billings Estate National Historic Site on Saturday, March 26 from 10 am to 4 pm. Decorate your own Easter basket, dye Easter eggs, get your face painted and take part in the annual egg hunt.

Hop into Easter at the Canadian Children’s Museum where kids can make a delicious chocolate egg, decorate a colorful Easter egg even see the Easter Bunny!

Come out to the Diefenbunker on March 26th for the Annual Egg Hunt as well as Easter crafts.

The Bytown Museum will be having an Egg-stravaganza Egg Hunt and Egg Decorating Saturday March 26, Sunday March 27 & Monday March 28 from 11 am to 4 pm.

EASTER AT THE SUGAR BUSH

Celebrate Easter at Fulton’s Sugar Bush and Pancake House from Friday March 25th to Monday March 28th restaurant and grounds will be open from 9am to 4pm and activities will run from 10:30am to 2:30 pm. Face painting ($4 & $8), Maple taffy ($2) and cotton candy ($5), Musical entertainment in the Pancake House, Horse drawn rides ($2), Walking Trails and Trail Games (complimentary), Campfires and marshmallows (complimentary & while supplies last).

Proulx Sugarbush & Berry Farm will be having special activities on Good Friday, Saturday and Easter Sunday from 11am to 2pm with an Egg hunt, face painting and a clue hunt.

Stanley’s Old Maple Lane Farm will also be having an egg hunt with the Easter Bunny. Reservations are necessary and space is limited.

OTHER EASTER ACTIVITIES

Valleyview Little Animal Farm will be having there annual egg hunt daily throughout the Easter weekend.
Kids can also see the animals, take a train ride or play in the playground. Fun times for kids of all ages!

Come out to Carlingwood Shopping Centre to Meet Alice and go on Easter Egg Hunt with the Easter Bunny! Hours are Saturday March 19th, Sunday March 20th and Saturday March 26th from 10am to 2pm.

    No Admission Fee; plenty of free parking.

    Restaurant and Grounds: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

    Activities: 10:30 am – 2:30 pm
