Kid Friendly Easter Activities in Ottawa 2018


With Easter just a week away, here are some awesome kid friendly Easter activities happening in the Ottawa area!


Come celebrate Easter at the Farm from March 30th to April 2nd were the barns have come alive with the arrival of newborn animals such as lambs, rabbits, chicks and ducklings. Also, you can learn about the transformation of cacao beans into chocolate while helping make chocolate cake – and taste a delicious sample!

Celebrate the arrival of Spring at Hop into Spring Saturday, March 31 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum. Enjoy fun and games by challenging your family members to an egg rolling competition or give the Easter basket relay race a try. Brighten up your day by decorating eggs and learn about traditional dyeing tools and techniques.

Come celebrate Easter at the Estate at the Billings Estate National Historic Site on Saturday, March 31 from 10 am to 4 pm. Meet the Easter Bunny, take part in our Easter egg hunt, decorate eggs with traditional dyes, and more. You can even plant your own carrot seed and take it home to watch it grow!

The Canadian Children’s Museum will be having a Dragon Egg Hunt from March 19th to April 1st. The Dragon Egg Hunt is inspired by Toothless from How To Train Your Dragon — hidden throughout the Museum, and earn a treat when you complete your quest.

The Bytown Museum will be having an Easter Egg Hunt Saturday March 31st, Sunday April 1st & Monday April 2nd from 11 am to 4 pm.



Proulx Sugarbush & Berry Farm will be having special Easter activities March 30th to April 2nd from 11am to 2pm with an Egg hunt, face painting and a clue hunt.

Stanley’s Old Maple Lane Farm will also be having an egg hunt with the Easter Bunny on March 17th 2018 from 10 to 11am. Reservations are necessary and space is limited.



Valleyview Little Animal Farm will be having there annual egg hunt daily throughout the Easter weekend.
Kids can also see the animals, take a train ride or play in the playground. Fun times for kids of all ages!

Place d’Orleans will be having an Easter Egg Hunt on Thursday March 29th from 10am to 12pm.

Innes Ward in Orleans will be hosting an Easter Weekend Free Pancake and Sausage Breakfast on Saturday March 31st between 9 and 11 a.m. at St. Kateri Tekakwitha School, 6400 Beauséjour Dr. in Orleans.

The Carp Farmers’ Market’s will be hosting their Annual Easter Market on Saturday March 31st from 8am to 2pm.

Good Friday Family Fun Day March 30th from 10am to 3pm at Maple Ridge Centre in Chesterville. Take a horse drawn wagon ride out to our Easter Egg Hunt (each child will receive a goody bag), visit with the Easter Bunnies, bounce around on giant inflatables in the gymnasium from Tribeck Inflatables, check out the cute critters from Vanderlaand the Barnyard Zoo, GLOW room, face painting, Easter crafts for the kids & more!

Bring the whole family out to celebrate Easter Sunday (April 1st) at Divine Word Lutheran Church in Barrhaven for our Easter Eggstravaganza! Find out why Easter is so much more than candy and cute bunnies. Join us at 9am for our free Easter Breakfast Buffet. Kid ages 4-12 are then invited to participate in our Easter for Kids starting with an egg hunt at 9:30 am. This will be followed by a “Why we celebrate Easter” lesson, a song, and a fun craft!
