SATURDAY JULY 27TH


The Beachburg Fair will be on this weekend.

The UP Babywearing & Parenting Conference will be happening at the Glebe Community Centre.

Camp Indigo – Express Yourself at Indigo Pinecrest from 8:30 to 9:30. Create your own Fashion Angels bracelets and glitter pins to decorate a Camp IndigoKids tote!
Ticket Price: $10 + tax & service fees (up to $2.50)

Celebrate Dora the Explorer at Indigo Pinecrest starting at 10am.
Join Indigo Pinecrest to celebrate the release of Dora and the Lost City of Gold. There will be games, giveaways, and more! This is a free event.

Seed to Savour from 10am to 4pm at Pinhey’s Point Historic Site. 
Learn what produce was grown during early years at Horaceville, get hands-on in the heritage garden, and observe traditional methods of preparing and preserving food with apples.

Changing of the Guard Ceremony on Parliament Hill at 10am. K

Summer Family Mornings will take place at the NAC from 10am to noon. There will be FREE activities, games, musical guests and more, for children of all ages.

The Canadian Museum of History welcomes Indigenous Experiences at 11:15am, 1pm, 2:30pm and 4pm. 
Come explore Indigenous culture firsthand through dance performances, near a site once used as both a trading post and a place of friendship and celebration. Tickets are 10$ per person.

Mermaid Ice Cream Party! at Sundae School Ottawa hosted by Fairytale Princess parties Ottawa from 10:30 to 11:30am.

Parrot Partners Bird Show at the Log Farm starting at 11am. Join Parrot Partners Canada at The Log Farm for an interactive parrot training experience. Make sure to bring a blanket to sit on to watch the show.

Ottawa UnBirthday party at Larkin Park in Ottawa from 12pm to 4pm.
A “Very Merry Unbirthday Party” celebrating children who struggle with friendships and don’t get invited to birthday parties! Lots of activities planned and some very special guests!

Family Fun Dayz at Roy Duncan Park from 1pm to 4pm. A great afternoon with FREE family fun!

Sports Spectacular: Wading Pool Event at the Woodroffe Wading Pool from 1pm to 3pm.
Come test your skills in a variety of fun & challenging water sports! Including a bean bag toss, balloon pop, crafts & water sports and a bouncy house for jumping.

Storytime at Rideau Hall from 1pm to 3pm. Frontier College staff and volunteers invite the general public, families, and groups of children to settle in under the Reading Tent to read books and to participate in fun reading, writing, and science activities. While you are at Rideau Hall, take in the sights and visit for the whole day!

Théatre Plein Air: Tournée Personnage de Légendes (French) at 1:30 and 3:30 at the Parc du Portage in Hull.

2019 TorchLight Shakespeare Series presents Romeo & Juliet at Beechwood Cemetery at 7pm. Admission is free but a 20$ donation is recommended.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World will be playing at Barrhaven United Church starting at 7pm. Free snacks will be provided at the Sequoia FC.

Paddington will be playing as part of Lansdowne Movie Nights starting at 8:30.

Coco will be playing at Meadowbrook Park starting at 8:30pm.

Northern Lights – Sound & Light Show on Parliament Hill will be showing at 10pm. A show featuring key figures, events and achievements from Canadian history are brought to life against the backdrop of the Centre Block and Peace Tower. It’s FREE!

SUNDAY JULY 28th

Nokia Sunday Bikedays from 9am to 1pm. 
Enjoy car-free cycling on Ottawa’s scenic parkways during NOKIA Sunday Bikedays .

The National Capital Car Show will be on at Wesley Clover Parks from 10am to 4pm.

Pinhey’s Past Times at Pinhey’s Point Historic Site from 10am to 4pm. Enhance your museum experience with a natural science or social history demonstration.

Super Highlanders at the Canadian War Museum from 10am to 4pm.
Celebrate Highland Culture! Witness the tradition and spectacle of the pipes and drums and Highland dancers. Come test your aim at our archery station where you can meet our “Scottish Princess”. Try other awesome activities including free face painting and a Scottish-themed craft to take home. Kilts and plaid heartily encouraged.

Creative Sundays at the Ottawa Art Gallery will be on from 10am to 2pm. Join the Studio for weekly drop-in activities suitable for all ages.

Zumba on the Hill is back at 4pm on Parliament Hill. Everyone is welcome! Don’t forget your water bottle.
