How the Grinch Spied Christmas at Diefenbunker Museum. We like Christmas. We like it a lot.
But we know one Grinchy fella who did not! The Grinch wanted to stop Christmas from coming so he slithered and he SPIED.
He SPIED! SPIED! SPIED! SPIED! Bring your entire who-family, the tall and the small.
Uncover Grinchy tricks from tunnel to vault wall. There’ll be who-crafts, who-hot cocoa and who-movies.
By the end you’ll be spy experts, not spy newbies!

Santa and Pancakes at Four Season Cookhouse tomorrow from 10am to noon.

Christmas at the Farm from 10am to 3pm at the Log Farm. They have wagon rides, bonfires, lots of different farm animals, historic farm house in holiday theme, a sneak peak at one of Santa’s Workshop and more.

Christmas Craft-ernoons at Bytown Museum from 11am to 4pm.
Drop into Christmas Craft-ernoons and get ready for the holiday by making your own Christmas cards and crackers!

Indigenous Winter Solstice from 10am to 4pm at the National Gallery of Canada. All are welcome to this community celebration of the Winter Solstice with fireside storytelling and festive art-making. Great Hall
Starting at 10 am, craft your own holiday ornament using organic art-making materials found in nature. Amphitheatre
Starting at 11 am, share tea and bannock around the fire with creation stories, drumming and medicine teachings. Please dress appropriately for winter weather. This event is free and open to the public.

Public Skating at Rideau Hall from noon to 5pm.

Stanley’s Christmas Village at Stanley’s Olde Maple Farm Lane from 1:30 to 5pm.
Upon your arrival, sign in at the Stonehouse Gift Shoppe. You will then be whisked away on a horse drawn ride to an enchanted village tucked away in the warmth of the tall green cedars. Arrive at your destination and be greeted by the elves. Explore the village, sing songs, play games, and warm up by the bonfire. While you are there drop off your letter to Santa with the elves at the Post Office. Visit the Cookie Kitchen, and receive something sweet to eat. All the children will leave with a special something and then your whole group will return to the gift shoppe and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate.

Great Christmas Movie Party at Ottawa Family Cinema from 2pm to 4:15pm

Vintage Village of Lights at the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum from 3pm to 8pm. There’s holiday cheer to share with family, friends, and loved ones of all ages at the Vintage Village of Lights. The Museum’s 1920s and 30s village is illuminated to set a picture-perfect scene as you explore the festive touches that have been a part of preparing for Christmas throughout the years. As you stroll through the village, enjoy the fun activities on offer including: receiving a Santagram; decorating gingerbread; taking a horse-drawn wagon ride (weather dependent); singing along to Christmas standards; decorating ornaments; a cozy campfire; and more. And don’t forget to say hi to Santa!

Holiday Hours at Billings Estate National Historic Site from 4pm to 8pm. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of holiday preparations and enjoy a guided tour of the museum with a special Christmas theme. Take in the beautiful decorations throughout the house, learn fun facts about seasonal traditions as you explore the exhibitions, enjoy atmospheric music, and challenge yourself to “find the ornaments” for a fun bonus activity. Recommended for adults and families with children 10 and older.

Christmas Glow Ottawa from noon to 10pm at the EY Center. Glow Ottawa is a magical family-friendly indoor wonderland.

Magic of Lights at Wesley Clover Parks from 5pm to 10pm. Pile everyone in the car! Magic of Lights at Wesley Clover Parks is back for the 2019 edition, and it’s Bigger, Better & Brighter than ever!

Christmas Lights Across Canada from 5:30 to 11pm on Parliament Hill
