Halloween is just around the corner! Here are some amazing family friendly events in the Ottawa area

Haunt Nights is making it’s return to Watson’s Mill from Thursday October 20th to Saturday October 22nd from 7pm to 9:30pm. Entry is 7$ per person.

Indoor Halloween Market will be held at the Goulbourn Recreation Complex in Stittsville on Saturday October 22 from 10am to 3pm. 

Messy Church: Halloween Fun on Saturday October 22nd from 2pm to 4pm. 

Wickedly Westboro will take place along Richmond Road from October 14th to 31st 2022. You can take par tin a scavenger hunt. On Saturday October 29th, you can find one or more trick or treating stations sprinkled throughout the neighborhood. 

The Diefenbunker, Canada’s Cold War Museum will be hosting a Toddlers’ Halloween Hunt from October 26th to 28th 2022 from 10am to 1pm. 

The Day of the Dead Festival will be taking place at the Byward Market in Ottawa from October 22nd to 23rd and from October 28th to 30th. This event is FREE. There will be a Mariachi band, Mexican food, live Latin bands, Piñata workship, Papel Picado Workshop and much more. 

The Zoo Crew will be hosting a Halloween Pizza party with the animals on Friday October 28th at 5pm. 

The Log Farm will be hosting their Halloween Costume Party on Saturday October 29th and Sunday October 30th from 9am to 4pm. 

Bring the whole family to the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum for their Barnyard Halloween event on October 29th and 30th from 9:30am to 4pm. Kids will be able to make ghoulish treats, create a creepy craft, learn all about bats and enjoy a barn dance. 

Powerhaus’s Haunted House will take place October 29th from 6:30 to 9:30pm. There will be storytelling, ghostly scares, family fun and treats. 

Halloween Hijinks will be taking place October 29th and 30th from 10am to 4pm at the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum. Come explore illusions and celebrate all the weird and wonderful spectacles of the season with family-friendly activities and demonstrations. Featuring special appearances by magician Chris Pilsworth and stilt walker Luciano Lu. Halloween costumes are encouraged! 

Monster Mystery at Billings Estate National Historic Site will take place on October 29th and 30th from 10am to 3pm. Explore the museum grounds while completing engaging puzzles, games, and activities along the way in a fun self-guided adventure the family. Halloween costumes are encouraged!

Wild Wings Orleans will be having a lunch party for kids on October 29th and 30th from noon to 2:30pm. Arts & crafts, Halloween Bingo, treats. Reservations required, limited spots available. Kids must be accompanied by an adult. Kids (and adults) are encouraged to wear a costume!

Hallowe’en in the Forest will take place on October 29th 2022 from 1pm to 4pm. Lil’ monsters can take part in several activities and collect candies along the way! This activity is free, but we strongly recommend you register. 

 

On Saturday October 29th from 1:00-4:00, Watson’s Mill in Manotick will be hosting the Halloween Spooktacular with a whole bunch of themed crafts and games! There will also be a photo booth (so dust off your costumes!) and a spooky maze! The activities planned are best suited for kids ages 4-10.

The Ottawa Community Farm will be hosting a Spooky Halloween Event on October 29th from 3pm to 5pm. Bring some costume material to help create the perfect look for the horse you handle. Come dressed up in a costume, take part in a scavenger hunt for candy and prizes! Pony rides will be available but will not be the main focus of this event. 

The annual Trick or Treat with the Mayor will take place Saturday October 29th from 5pm to 8pm at Ottawa City Hall. See what’s brewing inside City Hall where you can meet your best loved, fun costumed characters in Jean Pigott Place. Meet the Tooth Fairy and decorate your very own miniature pumpkin in the Pumpkin Patch!

The Kinburn Community Centre will be hosting a Halloween Party on October 29th at 4pm. 

Trot or Treat 2022 at Terry Fox museum will take place on October 30th from 10am to 1pm. Come Trot or Treat with Ausome Ottawa! Register now for the largest children’s Halloween party/fundraiser for the autism community.
