With Halloween just a few weeks away, here are some great activities and parties to celebrate!
Halloween pARTy at Shenkman Arts Centre October 28th 2017 starting at noon. Crafts, Face Painting, Photo Booth, Storytelling, Costume Parade, Bake Sale, and more! The theme this year is inspired by sorcerers and magicians! Come Costumed! There will be a Costume Parade at 12:30pm and Storytelling at 1:30 pm & 2:30 pm. Entrance is FREE but donations are accepted for the Ottawa School of Art.
Trick or Treat with the Mayor on Saturday October 28th from 4 to 7pm.
Celebrate Halloween this year at Unlock the Treats where families will work together to solve special Halloween themed puzzles, open locked boxes and fill a bucket with candy! The following activities will be offered: Mad Science Demonstration, Skeleton Bones Scavenger Hunt, Costume Photo Contest. Event will be held at Unlocked Ottawa on October 31st from 5pm to 7pm.
It’s a Barnyard Halloween at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum on October 28th & 29th from 9:30am to 4pm! Make some ghoulish treats, create a creepy craft, learn all about bats, visit a spooky barn and take part in Halloween games. Costumed visitors young and old alike can join the costume parade.
Watson Mills Children Halloween Party on October 28th from 1pm to 4pm has fun and friendly Halloween games and crafts for children of all ages.
Halloween at Rideau Hall on October 31th from 5pm to 8 pm.
GNAG Halloween Party. The Glebe Neighbourhood Activities Group is organizing their annual Halloween party on October 29th from 4pm to 6:30pm with spooky fun for all ages. Candy Carnival, Haunted House, Preschool Play Room, Kinder Haunted House, Fortune Telling, Bouncy Castle, Halloween Skit and more.
Monster Mash Halloween Party at Billings Estate national Historic Site will be held on Saturday October 21st from 10am to 4pm. Put on your best costume and visit the museum where there will be face painting, Halloween themed activities, crafts, and of course treats!
Pumpkin Party! at the Nepean Museum on Saturday October 28th from 10am to 4pm. The museum is definitely the place to be for Halloween fun with a costume parade, face painting, and pumpkin decorating.
Halloween Hijinks at the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum on Sunday October 29th from 10am to 4pm. Celebrate Halloween with us by exploring the potions lab, make a 1920s style Halloween craft, and collect a few treats along the way.
Monkey Rock Music Halloween Party and Fundraiser in Gatineau Sunday October 29th from 2pm to 4pm. The party will feature games, dancing, costumes and of course ROCK AND ROLL. And we’ll be giving prizes to the best CHILD COSTUME and best FAMILY COSTUME – each receiving a full free 12 week session at Monkey Rock Music!
Incident at the Bunker: A Zombie Adventure on October 14th, 28th, 29th and November 4th. This unique Halloween experience is a perfect combination of storytelling, interactive challenges, unexpected surprises and of course…zombies. Recommended for children ages 12 &up.
