Rick Chiarelli’s Alcohol-Free Family New Years Eve was voted the “Best Place to be on New Years Eve”! Come out to Ben Franklin Place (Centre Pointe Drive) on December 31st 2017 from 6pm to 10pm to enjoy the free indoor and outdoor wholesome family fun and fireworks show. Activities include a show from the Nepean Skate Club followed by a skating party, sleigh rides and Giant Tiger train rides, a bouncy castle, a coloring studio, face painting, a Ginger Bread House building competition. Entertainment with music and magic. Don’t miss the Count-Down to the New Year at 10pm with Fireworks!
Come celebrate the coming of the New Year at Canada’s National Arts Centre (NAC) on December 31st from 5pm to 9pm. Event features free family activities including holiday crafts, performances by local jazz band Stevens and Kennedy, a New Year’s dance moves workshop by Luv 2 Groove, and lots of hot chocolate.
Come ring in the New Year at Aberdeen Pavilion at Lansdowne Park with the Scottish Society of Ottawa at their Annual Hogman-eh! Celebration on December 31st from 5pm to midnight. Admission is FREE and fun is guaranteed for the whole family! There will be a KidZone, Skating, live music, a countdown to New Year in Scotland at 7pm and fireworks at midnight!
Say farewell to Canada 150 by spending New Year’s Eve on Parliament Hill. There will be daytime activities including music, dancing and First Nations cultures as well as skating on the Canada 150 Rink. In the evening, there will be a multimedia show with pyrotechnics and lasers. .
For the little ones, you can also ring in the Noon Year’s Eve with the Ottawa Public Library Beaverbrook Branch. There will be games, activities and snacks and a count down to noon. Event will take place on December 30th from 11am to noon.
