With summer vacation just around the corner, Ottawa Kids has compiled a list of awesome summer day camps ideas to keep the kids busy!!
Camp Altitude gym: Camp Altitude Gym is for children from 6 to 14 years old who want to discover the exciting sport of rock climbing or who want to improve their climbing skills. There is an outing every Wednesday, at least 2 climbing periods every day and outdoor activities.
N.U.T.S: Summer camps at N.U.T.S offer a perfect blend of learning activities and physical challenges for kids aged 8 & up.
Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo. Junior Zoo Keeper Camps are a fun and educational opportunity geared towards kids aged 6-14. They will spend the entire week with Zoo staff, assist with real zoo keeping tasks, learn about zoo animals and get opportunities to handle many species of animal. Kids will also go on nature walks daily and learn about the environment as well as local flora and fauna.
Pedalheads: Pedalheads offer great camps for children 4 & up who want to learn to bike safely and without training wheels in a fun and safe environment.
Saunders Farm: At Saunders Farm kids 5 to 12 will explore the wonder and magic of Saunders Farm including farming, Mazes and Labyrinths, farm fresh food and its connection to healthy living, planting, performing arts, and much more.
Ottawa GeeGees: The University of Ottawa Gee-Gees offer a wide variety of bilingual sport camps. Youth can choose between specialized sports or general sports camps.
Mad Science: Mad Science engages children ages 5 to 12 in scientific explorations that are so much fun children will forget they’re learning! Campers can team up with fellow engineers to build a bridge, participate in an unforgettable dinosaur dig, build and launch a model rocket and explore the science behind their favorite sports.
