


Come explore Ottawa’s architecture, culture & history for FREE during the 2022 edition of Doors Open Ottawa which will be held June 4th and 5th. This will be the 20th anniversary of Doors Open Ottawa!
This year, visitors will be able to participate in 3 formats: virtual, in person and a hybrid mix of the two!

Here are some great family friendly places to visit in person for FREE with the kids during the weekend:

Billings Estate National Historic Site, 2100 Cabot Street in Ottawa will be open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

Cumberland Heritage Museum, 2940 Old Montreal Road in Cumberland will be open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

Diefenbunker, Canada’s Cold War Museum 3929 Carp Road in Carp is offering Free tours in French and English by reservation only. Open Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 3pm.

Ottawa Fire Stations 37 & 82 will be open Saturday from 10am to 4pm.

Parliament of Canada: Centre Block, 111 Wellington St will be open Satruday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

Pinhey’s Point Historic Site, 270 Pinhey Point Road in Dunrobin will be open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

Rideau Hall on Sussex Drive will be open for visits Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

United States Embassy in Ottawa will be open for visits on Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

Vanier Museopark on 300 Des Pères Blancs Ave will be open June 4th from 10am to 2pm.
I’d also like to suggest the Standards Building, home to Measurement Canada. We will have some neat things for kids to do such as playing with scales and test weights and viewing large truck based measurement equipment. Saturday and Sunday, 10 – 4.’
