Here are some great family friendly places to visit in person for FREE with the kids during the weekend:

Cumberland Heritage Museum, 2940 Old Montreal Road in Cumberland will be open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

Diefenbunker, Canada’s Cold War Museum 3929 Carp Road in Carp is offering Free tours in French and English by reservation only. Open Saturday from 10 am to 4pm.

Parkdale Fire Station will be open Saturday & Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

Library of Parkiament, 125 Sparks St will be open Satruday & Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

Pinhey’s Point Historic Site, 270 Pinhey Point Road in Dunrobin will be open Saturday & Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

Rideau Hall on Sussex Drive will be open for visits Saturday & Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

United States Embassy in Ottawa will be open for visits on Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

Vanier Museopark on 300 Des Pères Blancs Ave will be open Saturday & Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
I’d also like to suggest the Standards Building, home to Measurement Canada. We will have some neat things for kids to do such as playing with scales and test weights and viewing large truck based measurement equipment. Saturday and Sunday, 10 – 4.’
