Awesome Family Friendly Activities for the month of June 2018

The Blackburn Hamlet Funfair will be held June 1st to June 3rd with an outdoor movie night, a parade, a fun run, a softball tournament, fireworks and much more!

The RCMP Musical Ride is coming to Russell on June 1st from 5:30pm to 8pm. The troop of 32 scarlet coated “Mounties” on majestic black horses present a 30 minute show of intricate figures and cavalry drills choreographed to music. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for youth (between 5 and 13 years of age) and FREE for children under 5!

The Miracle Marnie Foundation presents The Mom & Son Carnival which will be held on June 2nd 2018 from 10am to 2pm at Orchard View Wedding & Event Centre in Greely.

Firefighters’ Day will be held at the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum in Cumberland on June 2nd from 11am to 3pm.  Firefighters will be on site at the museum with exciting activities and demonstrations of their equipment and methods! Admission is free.

Come explore Ottawa’s architecture, culture & history for FREE during the 2018 edition of Doors Open Ottawa which will be held June 2nd and 3rd.

The annual Spring Fling Fundraiser in support of the Glebe Co-operative Nursery School will be held on Sunday June 3rd 2018 from 10am to 1pm outside of the Glebe Community Centre.

Westfest, Ottawa’s favourite FREE music and arts festival will be taking place at Tom Brown Arena and Park from June 8th to 10th.

Touch a Truck on June 10th from 10am to 3pm. Bring the kids to see and explore over 45 large vehicles like firetrucks, police vehicles and more! Tons of activities will be on site including a mini-version of our interactive obstacle course.

The Festival Franco Ontarien will be held June 14 – 15 – 16 on Major’s Hill Park in Ottawa. Festival is free all the time for kids 10 and under and family programming will be on Saturday June 16th.

CHRI Summer Splash 2018 on June 23rd from 10am to 4pm. You’re invited to a FREE Family Friendly Listener-Appreciation event to say THANK YOU for your support! EVERYONE WELCOME! Activities include: Beach activities, Kayaking, Paddleboarding, Bike Trails (BYOBike), Boat Rides, Indoor Climbing Wall, Archery, Facepainting, CHRI music & games. Bring a lunch or cash BBQ available

Movie in the Park at Kilbirnie Park –  on June 23rd from 7 to 10pm organised by Stonebridge Community Association. Fun Cruiser treats will be available from 7 pm, with movie starting showing at dusk.

The RCMP Musical Ride Sunset Ceremonies will be held from June 27th to 30th at the RCMP Musical Ride Centre in Ottawa and features the world famous RCMP Musical Ride as they take part in the flag lowering ceremony.
