Looking for a great family activity this winter. Omega Park is sure to be a hit for kids of all ages.

This park located just north of Montebello (approximately 1 hour drive from Ottawa) offers a 17-km car trail through the park will allow you to get up close and personal with a variety of animals such as moose, elks, deers, bears, raccoons, bisons, wapitis, wild goats and wolves in their natural habitat and feed them carrots.

Another great way to discover the park and its animals is by going on the several walking trails including the Boardwalk of the Wolves and Bears from which you can observe parents with their young ones. In the winter months, you can also rent snowshoes.

The park also has a restaurant with a souvenir shop that offers a great panoramic view. Carrots can be purchased at the gift shop but it’s best to purchase ahead of time to save money!

During the winter, the park is open every day from 10am to 5pm (last admission at 4pm).
