


Celebrate Ottawa’s history and the legacy of Lieutenant-Colonel John By at the Bytown Museum on Monday August 4th from 11am to 5:30pm! Admission to the Museum will be FREE, with donations appreciated.
On August 4th, the Bytown Museum will be open from 11:00 AM – 5:30 PM with family-friendly activities and engaging programming:
- The Capital Art Fair Gallery showcase begins at 11:00 AM with vendors selling stunning works of art, gifts, and décor
- A beadwork and leather demonstration from Talamh Karen:na starts at 12:00 PM and visitors are encouraged to watch and engage.
- Paul Weber and members of his band will be performing live music throughout the afternoon with the first show beginning at 12:00 PM.
- The annual Celtic Cross Ceremony, which commemorates the builders of the Rideau Canal, will take place at 2:00 PM.
- Participate in a fascinating guided tour of the Bytown Museum at 4:00 PM.
- Design your own timber stamp at the Museum’s craft table!
