Weekend Fun in Ottawa – October 4 & 5

It’s going to be a beautiful weekend in Ottawa to enjoy fall activities! 

 

SATURDAY OCTOBER 4TH 2025

The 169th Metcalfe Fair will be on this weekend with a demolition derby, square dancing lessons, a midway , a truck pull and so much more! 

The 26th Annual Biology Butterfly Show will be held the weekends of October 4-5 & 11-12 2025 at Carleton University.

Head to Kiwan Farms for the 7th Annual Fall Harvest Festival on Saturday October 4th from 10am to 3pm. Admission is FREE! 

1st Annual Orleans/Navan Touch-A-Truck Event on Saturday from 9am to 3pm. Bring the whole family for an exciting FREE day of hands-on fun! Kids can climb in, explore, and honk the horns of 20+ incredible vehicles—from tractors and loaders to plows, graders, and more.

Geeked Out: Ottawa’s Toy & Collectible Sale: Grab your capes, lightsabers, poke balls, and your best gaming & geeking buddies and join us for the 27th edition of Ottawa’s Toy & Collectible Sale from 10am to 4pm at the Nepean Sportsplex. 

Manotick Bakyard Ultra, 5K & Family 1K starting at 8:30. Starting at the iconic 692 Coffee and Bar, the route will go through the beautiful town of Manotick. Each loop will incorporate road and trail running; having runners take bridges over streams, run through parks, and endure tarmac underfoot. 

Spooktacular Craft Market at the Glebe Community Centre from 10:30 am to 3pm. Free entry and free workshop

The TROLLS will be playing this Saturday as part of the Cineplex Family Favourites! Every Saturday morning for only 3.99$ + tax

Fall Fun at Cannamore Orchards: Activities include apple and pumpkin picking, family fun activities and their famous Acres of Terror Halloween Haunts!

Pumpkin Fest at Proulx Farm: Head to Proulx Farm for their 31st Annual Pumpkin Fest. The farm is transformed into a giant Halloween playground

Pumpkin Fest at Saunders Farm: A celebration of Autumn splendour: pumpkins, wagon rides, live shows, mazes and so much more! Delicious food & scrumptious treats available for purchase onsite.

Fall Rhapsody in the Gatineau Park. Come enjoy the beautiful colours in the Gatineau Park this fall. Since Fall Rhapsody is a very popular event, the NCC will have free shuttles from downtown Ottawa and Gatineau that will take you to Pink Lake, King Mountain and Champlain Lookout, Camp Fortune, Mackenzie King Estate. There are many amazing trails for walking and hiking in the Gatineau Park.

SUNDAY OCTOBER 5TH 2025

CHEO’s RBC Race for the Kids will take place on October 5th from 8am to 11am in Wesley Clover Parks. Open to all ages and abilities, options include a timed 5K and 10K all-terrain run or the fully accessible 2K Family Fun Run.
