MONDAY JULY 29th

Free Yoga in the Park on Monday July 29th at 7pm at Vista Park in Orleans.

TUESDAY JULY 30th

Summer Family Mornings will take place at the NAC on Tuesday July 23rd from 10am to noon. There will be FREE activities, games, musical guests and more, for children of all ages.

WEDNESDAY JULY 31st

Harry Potter Marathon from 10am to 5pm at the Ottawa Public Library Main Branch.

Backyard Storytime at the Ottawa Public Library Richmond Branch on Wednesday July 31st from 10:15 to 11:15. Storytime and Stay& Play in the backyard! This is an outdoor event! Please be prepared, there may be dirt, bugs, sun and fun!

Are you ready to Rock? at the Ottawa Public Library Manotick Branch on Wednesday July 31st at 1:30pm.
From gemstones to volcanoes, what can we learn from the earth?  Ages 4-12.  Registration recommended.

A Royal Dinner Party on Wednesday July 31st from 4:30 to 7:30 at Boston Pizza Barrhaven. Imagine a family dinner surrounded by your favorite characters, great food, and a great memory for the kids. Enjoy a night out and a reason to dress up for Boston Pizza Barrhaven’s Royal Dinner Party! There will be 2 seatings to chose from 4:30pm – 6:00pm OR 6:00pm- 730pm. This month we are expecting a visit from the Snow Queen, The Polynesian Princess & The Little Mermaid!!!

Dungeons and Dragons at the Ottawa Public Library Nepean Centrepointe Branch at 6pm. Learn to play Dungeons and Dragons! We’re playing using 5th Generation rules – no previous experience required. Tweens/ Teens ages 10+  

Lansdowne Movie Nights presents Fantastic Beast: The Crimes of Grindelwald on Wednesday July 31st at 8:30pm at Lansdowne Park.

THURSDAY AUGUST 1ST

Artissimo – Portrait Collage at the National Gallery of Canada from 10am to 4pm. Cut and paste together a picture of you! Come explore art – then play, draw, paint and create! Families are invited to experience the Gallery, play art games, make their own artworks and share art with other kids across Canada and around the world. Artissimo activities are for children aged 3 and older accompanied by an adult. 

Can You Dig It? (ages 8 to 11) at the Billings Estate National Historic Site from 1pm to 2:30pm. Be inspired by Canada’s first paleontologist, Elkanah Billings, and get your hands dirty as you learn to dig for artefacts, identify mystery objects, and try techniques used by scientists every day

Makermobile on Thursday August 1st from 2pm to 3pm at the Ottawa Public Library Greenboro Branch.
Discover, play, build and create with our maker cart. For ages 8-12.

FRIDAY AUGUST 2ND

The Ottawa Busker Festival will be starting on Friday August 2nd.

The Glengarry Highland Games will be on starting Friday August 2nd in Maxville.

Young Naturalists (Ages 3 to 5) at Billings Estate National Historic Site from 10am to 11am.
Preschooler and parent will explore the Estate together and discover the world like a 19th century naturalist, a historical profession and pastime that combined interests in the arts, sciences, and inquiry.

Storytime at Rideau Hall will be on Friday August 2nd from 1 pm. to 3 pm. Frontier College staff and volunteers invite the general public, families, and groups of children to settle in under the Reading Tent to read books and to participate in fun reading, writing, and science activities. We hope to see you there! While you are at Rideau Hall, take in the sights and visit for the whole day!  We have a wide array of free activities offered on-site during the summer.

Block Party at the Ottawa Public Library Carlingwood Branch Friday August 2nd from 2pm to 3pm. Building Boom: show off your architectural creativity with Lego®.

2019 TorchLight Shakespeare Series presents Romeo & Juliet at Centrepointe Park in Nepean at 7pm. Admission is free but a 20$ donation is recommended. Monday 29th will be in Strathcona Park, Tuesday 30th at Andrew Haydon Park, Wednesday 31st at Flannery park in Alta Vista, Thursday August 1st at Anthony Vincent Park in Manor Park and Friday 2nd at Longleaf Park in Orleans.

Northern Lights – Sound & Light Show on Parliament Hill will be showing at 10pm Monday to Friday and 9:30 starting August 1st. A show featuring key figures, events and achievements from Canadian history are brought to life against the backdrop of the Centre Block and Peace Tower. It’s FREE!

Changing of the Guard Ceremony on Parliament Hill at 10am Monday to Friday.

The Canadian Museum of History welcomes Indigenous Experiences at 11:15am, 1pm, 2:30pm and 4pm Monday to Friday.
Come explore Indigenous culture firsthand through dance performances, near a site once used as both a trading post and a place of friendship and celebration. Tickets are 10$ per person.
